Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery

This graduate degree known as a Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS) is awarded to students after they have successfully completed a course of study that lasts for five and a half years and includes an internship that lasts for one year.

Management Quota in BAMS Course

There is still a chance for you, even if you were unable to meet the requirements necessary to be placed on the BAMS course’s merit list. You may be eligible for admission into the programme through the management quota.

The Admission Committee will consider the applications of students who did not make the cut for the merit list if there are still management quota seats available after accounting for all qualifying applicants. This means that if you weren’t selected from the merit list, applying through the management quota process might provide you the best chance of being approved.

Eligibility Requirements for the BAMS

  • The candidate must have passed the two-year PUC/Equivalent Examination (Listed with RGUHS) with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of the relevant Sciences subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of the II year PUC/Equivalent Examination.
  • There is a requirement that applicants be at least 17 years old.

Admission Process

One of the programmes provided at Karavali Ayurvedic Medical College is a Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree programme with a surgical and Ayurvedic focus. Students will learn about traditional remedies produced from plants and shrubs throughout this session. These drugs can be used to treat uncommon disorders that cannot be treated using standard medical procedures.

Candidates are expected to do a one-year internship following the completion of their degree in order to apply the theoretical knowledge gained throughout their studies to a medical context.

If you qualify for the merit list, you will be admitted by completing an online form. If your name is not on the merit list, you can still apply through management quotas.

Using the Management Quota system

The management quota is a system that allows students not accepted on the merit list to enrol in the BAMS courses. Students who did not match the standards to be put on the merit list may benefit from this strategy, which allows them to be accepted based on their skills and credentials.
