About the college
The Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College is a recently founded Ayurveda college in the state of Karnataka. It is one of the premium institutions of Ayurveda in Karnataka with the aim of giving knowledge to each and every medical aspirant.
Kundapura Rural Ayurveda Medical College is run by Amrutheswari Educational Trust, which manages all of the activities from admissions to conducting exams for every semester.
It has the capacity to accept one hundred new students each year, and it has been acknowledged by the CCIM for the high-quality education it provides to its students, both in terms of their acquisition of practical knowledge and the research they carry out in the treatment of diseases that are not yet solved by modern medicine.
Courses Offered By Institution
Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery
Students will learn about traditional medicines obtained from herbs and shrubs in Kriya Shareera, Rachana Shareera, Dravyaguna, Agadatantra, and Roganidana as part of the 4.5-year BAMS degree program that includes specializations in Ayurveda and surgery that is provided by the institution.
Students will receive training for a period of one year, during which they will be required to apply their practical knowledge to patients who visit hospitals. This will allow students to advance their careers by becoming familiar with the diseases that patients suffer from, as well as the methods that can be used to treat those diseases, and by developing new medicines that are more effective in treating those diseases.

Management Quota in BAMS Course
The management quota is a unique category of seats for the BAMS course. The management quota is available to students who do not qualify for the standard BAMS seats. You are eligible to apply for this quota if you had a strong performance the previous year or if you have an outstanding academic record. Under the management quota, you do not need to get a minimum score on the BAMS test to be admitted.
Eligibility Requirements for the BAMS
- Qualification for the 12th Standard with a science stream or any other equivalent examination recognized by the concerned state government and education boards is required to be eligible for admission to the BAMS program.
- It is also required that candidates pass the examination with an aggregate score of at least 50% in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology.
