Courses

Bachelor’s degree in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery

The Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS) graduate degree is conferred upon students who have completed a course of study that lasts for five and a half years and includes an internship of one year.

Management Quota in BAMS Course

A management quota is a system in which only a particular number of seats are made available to students who have attained a specified level of academic or other credentials.

If, after taking into account all of the applicants who are eligible, there are still management quota seats available, then the Admission Committee will take into consideration the applications from those students who have not qualified for the merit list. This indicates that if you have failed to secure a place on the merit list, your best chance of getting accepted may be to apply through the management quota procedure.

Eligibility Requirements for the BAMS

  • Candidates for the BAMS program are required to demonstrate that they meet all of the eligibility requirements in order to be considered for admission. The following are some fundamental BAMS eligibility requirements that must be met.
  • Candidates are needed to have scientific courses (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), as well as English core, in both Class 11 and Class 12 from a recognized board in order to pass the Class 12 test or an examination of a comparable level.
  • When applying for admission, he or she must be at least 17 years old.
  • In order to qualify for the general category, applicants must have a total grade point average of at least 50 percent on their senior year board test. At the same time, the minimum qualifying percentage for applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC is 40%.
  • To be eligible for admission to the BAMS program, applicants must have received a passing score on the National Eligibility and Eligibility Test (NEET) and have achieved a minimum qualifying cutoff percentage.

The Procedure for Admission

A 4.5-year Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree program with a surgical and Ayurvedic specialization is one of the programs that are available. During this program, students will learn about traditional medicines that are derived from herbs and shrubs. These medicines can be used to treat rare diseases that cannot be cured using conventional medical practices.

Candidates are required to do an internship lasting one year following the conclusion of the degree in order to put the theoretical information they obtained throughout their studies into practice in a medical setting.

The process of admission is via online form filling if you qualify for the merit list. If your name doesn’t appear on the merit list, then you can apply through management quotas.

Using the Management Quota system

The management quota is a method that enables students who have not been accepted on the merit list to be accepted to BAMS courses. Students who did not meet the requirements to be placed on the merit list might be assisted by this method, which provides them with the opportunity to be accepted on the basis of their abilities and credentials.
